(Glenmoore, PA) - Tired of liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi forcinga $2.4 trillion government health care law, the job-crushing cap-and-tax bill and trillion-dollar jobless stimulus bills down your throat? Liberal Democrats Doug Pike and Manan Trivedi aren't. Both Pike and Trivedi have complained government isn't big enough andare desperately embracing the far-left fringe of the Democratic Party leading up to the May 18 primary election. That's scary news for taxpayers.
Pike and Trivedi are falling right in line with Nancy Pelosi's government controlled prescription for a new America that envisions a federal government that is even bigger, even more expensive and even more powerful than ever before.
Among the far-left liberal policies supported by both candidates:
"Pike and Trivedi have turned thisprimary into a MoveOn .Org beauty pageant," said Gerlach spokesman Mark Campbell. "Regardless of which tax-and-spend liberal wins, thetaxpayers in the 6th District would lose thousands of dollars in higher taxes and see more government debt if either were elected to Congress."
When Jim Gerlach cast his vote against the trillion-dollar stimulus bill, he was standing up for the taxpayers and small business ownersof the 6th District who know that getting Washington out of the way is the best way to create jobs.
When Jim Gerlach cast his vote against the $2.4 trillion big-government health care law, he was listening to the families and physicians in the 6th District who know that hiring thousands of IRS agents will not improve the quality of health care or make health insurance more affordable. In fact, 70% of the nearly 5,000 people who contacted Jim's office prior to the vote opposed the health care bill.
"Jim Gerlach has a long established and documented record of being one of the most independent Republicans in Washington. Doug Pike and Manan Trivedi have made it clear that they are taking their marching orders from Nancy Pelosi, rather than the taxpayers of the 6th district," said Campbell.
